The Brande Foundation
The Brande Foundation

Q. Is Coaching confidential?
A. Although life coaching is not counseling, you can expect to receive that same level of confidentiality. Everything that is spoken about is kept secret unless the client has revealed something illegal that the coach is required by law to disclose.

Q. Why is there no charge for this service?
A. Although Dave Ellis has given away millions of dollars in direct contributions, he believes that an even more effective way to assist non-profit organizations is to provide their leaders with life coaches. Through his own experience of coaching others, Dave has noticed that when the quality of life for leaders of non-profit’s improves, the effectiveness of their organizations improves as well.

Q. Is The Brande Foundation religiously affiliated?
A. No. The Brande Foundation is a private operating foundation with no religious affiliation. The life coaching services are provided by people from a wide variety of religious and spiritual backgrounds to a religiously diverse group of people.

Q. How long will these services last?
A. We provide life coaching for a minimum of one year, and many of our relationships have lasted three to five years.

Q. What’s the training & experience of the life coaches?
A. Almost all of our life coaches have a Masters Degree in counseling or a closely related area. They have all been trained by Dave Ellis using the techniques outlined in his seven books, which include Life Coaching: a new career for helping professionals and Falling Awake: creating the life of your dreams.

Q. What if I start using the service and don’t like it?
A. Within a month or two, if you do not notice a dramatic improvement in your life and your work, we will either assign another coach to work with you or agree that this service is not right for you. Of course, you can stop using this service at any time.

Q. How do you choose the organizations to which you offer this service?
A. We are a fairly small group of people wanting to make a big difference in the world. We pick organizations that reach a lot of people and that are aligned with our foundation’s goals of:

  1. ending poverty and malnutrition
  2. protecting the environment
  3. improving education
  4. promoting world peace
  5. protecting human rights

Our goal is to work with national and international organizations that have annual budgets of at least $5 million and that employ at least 50 people.
